Don\u2019t let the name fool you, just because some treatments are considered \u201ccosmetic\u201d doesn\u2019t mean they don\u2019t have major health benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, dental implants can stop bone loss due to a missing tooth. Veneers and dental bonding have the potential to fix bite issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myth 2: Over-the-Counter Whitening Kits are the Same as Professional Ones<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While the over-the-counter kits may use the same whitening agent, hydrogen peroxide, there is no comparison between the two. Professional teeth whitening kits and in-office treatments from your dentist use higher concentrations of the chemical and offer better results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myth 3: Cosmetic Dentistry Weakens Your Teeth<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Myth 5: Cosmetic Dental Treatments are Surgical<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are very few cosmetic treatments that require surgery. Most of them are minimally invasive, allowing you to have them done in only a couple of visits with little to no downtime on your part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
