Meet the Doctor
Ted Dunson II, DDS
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Dr. Dunson attended Texas State University where he earned his bachelor’s of science (BS) and graduated with cum laude honors. He continued his education at Baylor College of Dentistry, which was named one of the top four dental institutions nationwide, receiving his doctorate in dental surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Dunson opened his private practice in Denton, Texas in 1999 where he provides a wide range of comprehensive dental services, including root canals, extractions, periodontics, dental implants, and orthodontics. Dr. Dunson is also certified in oral conscious sedation.
To provide our patients with cutting-edge dental care, Dr. Dunson stays abreast of the latest dental innovations through intensive research, continuing education, and professional association membership. He belongs to the Denton County Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Dunson lives in Denton, Texas with his wife, Carly, their two precious girls, Sydney and Presley, and their two English Bulldogs, Maggie and Gracie. To unwind, Dr. Dunson spends leisure time golfing, cycling, and riding his Harley. He also travels extensively and enjoys exploring diverse marine cultures through scuba diving. Moreover, he has competed in several triathlons, placing first in his age group at the Amica Texas Man triathlon at Lake Ray Roberts, second in his age group at the Spring/Fall Classic at Lake Tawakoni, and first in his age group and third overall in the Men’s Division of the Toyota US Open.
